Helping Parishes and Neighbourhood Forums Take Climate and Nature Action
6th August, 2025 - 08:49
Surrey County Council’s Climate Change team previously launched a pilot programme to support Parishes and Neighbourhood Forums in creating local Climate and Nature Action Plans. These plans enable communities to develop practical responses across key areas including nature, buildings, resilience, energy, engagement, and carbon emissions.
The toolkit includes an information pack and a reporting template to help communities begin tracking and planning their initiatives. It offers flexible guidance suitable for both newcomers and those building on existing projects.
As the pilot progresses, the Council is exploring ways to broaden support in a second phase, making resources more impactful and accessible. Feedback and suggestions from participants are strongly encouraged.
If you’re interested in learning more, requesting support with developing your plan, or obtaining the reporting template, please get in touch with the County Council’s Greener Future’s Team via email. The information pack is available to download below.
