Circular Dorking launches on Saturday 24 September

Visit stalls demonstrating ideas on sustainable living and eco-friendly shops, and learn about becoming more sustainable. 9.30am – 3pm, St Martin’s Walk, Dorking RH4 1UT. Circular Dorking is part of the Surrey Climate Commission and is working to create a circular Dorking economy. A circular economy is a model of production and consumption, which involves reducing, reusing, repairing, refurbishing and recycling existing materials and products for as long as possible. In this way, the life cycle of products is extended which results in reducing waste and carbon footprint to a minimum.

New Co-ordinator role appointed

Surrey Climate Commission is pleased to announce the appointment of our Co-ordination Manager. Jacquetta Fewster took on the role on the 20th September 2022. Jacquetta brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the role, with previous roles iincluding Director of the South Downs Society and Project Manager for Macmillan Cancer Support. Most recently she has been a research associate for the Active Travel Academy with the University of Westminster. She has also recently completed a Masters in Sustainability and Adaptation with the Graduate School of the Environment.
